Ben's home... Part 2

Well, actually Ben isn't home anymore, but here are some more images from his visit home.

It seems no one can escape a visit to the Dorr compound without being pictured on Mark's new riding mower, and Ben was no exception. He drove it around the lawn for a bit, too, and did a fine job.

Friday night we celebrated Ben's homecoming with a genuine Filipino feast. Jenna Kelley fixed us an amazing meal, and it was SOOOO delicious! Thanks, Jenna! Ben's good friends Denny and Abby and their two sweet little ones joined us, along with Jenna and Phil.

Here Jake and Ben re-live some of their childhood by playing with some of the "Little People" they played with as kids. We dug out the toy bin so Betsy and Bella would have something to play with, and I think our kids enjoyed it as much as the little ones!

Sarah and Chris joined us, Hannah came to town, and Jake and Beka came, too. We got a croquet set for the occasion, something we have always wanted to do, and the kids played several games.

The lovely Jenna, and her handsome husband Phil. Phil helped Jenna with some of the preparation of the food and with the transporting of it all to our house. Thanks again so much! We loved all of it, and we love you, too! And we really like your shirt, Jenna!!!

Saturday afternoon, the family all went inner-tubing on the Willamette River. Here they are putting in to the river at the Crystal Lake boat ramp. I was the shuttle driver, transporting people back to their cars from the end point of the trip.

We love you, Ben. Thanks for coming home.

And now you can barely see them in the distance. The next day (Sunday) we decided to do it all again, but for a longer ride this time. Beka did shuttle duty, and I was able to do the inner tube thing. It was such fun - and a first for me. I highly recommend it!
